A list of who's present isn't enough — you have to reach them
During an evacuation you need two things: to know who is on site right now, and to be able to tell them instantly. A paper sign-in sheet or the time & attendance system won't do it — they leave out visitors and drivers, and in a crisis no one goes around checking them.
SECAPRO ALERT builds on what the site traffic system and the kiosks already know: who has come in and not yet left. From this live record — employees, visitors, external workers and drivers — it compiles a recipient list and sends them an SMS at the push of a button.
The difference from an ordinary SMS gateway lies precisely in that list. Plenty of tools can send a message in bulk, but they send it to a static address book that holds no visitors or drivers and half of whose people did not come in today. ALERT works with the presence records record of people currently on site kept by the PSA system and keeps an audit trail of every dispatch — who received what and when. When an incident is reviewed afterwards, that matters as much as the message itself.
What ALERT is not: a substitute for an evacuation plan or for fire detection. It is a tool that adds targeted notification of people, and proof of it.

What people ask most often
How does the system know who is on site?
From the access records and from check-ins at the e-Recepce kiosk or in the visitor management system. Anyone who came in and didn't log their exit is listed as present — and those are exactly who the message goes to. That's why ALERT makes sense wherever you already log people entering.
Does it need any extra hardware?
Yes — messages are sent via a GSM gateway with a SIM card; for reliability a backup SIM is used. Without the gateway the module still works and compiles the list, but it won't send the message — so the gateway is part of the delivery.
Can it handle routine operational messages too?
Yes. Besides the preset emergency messages, it can also send a custom short text to selected departments — an operational notice or an outage, for instance. Emergency use is the main one, but not the only one.
Will it replace our evacuation plan?
No, and we don't claim it will. It's a tool that reaches people quickly and leaves a record of it. The evacuation procedure, assembly points and drills are your responsibility — ALERT makes them faster and easier to document.
