LED panels and traffic lights

A driver who doesn’t know where to go blocks the entrance. The LED panel shows them their plate, the dock number and their place in the queue — with no call to a dispatcher.

What it’s for

Three different jobs, three different devices

The simplest is a two-aspect traffic light at the barrier: red and green, nothing more. On a fully automated entrance it is always required — the driver must see without any doubt whether they may proceed.

A programmable 30 × 30 cm panel handles a short message: a dock number, an instruction, a warning. It’s used where the driver is sent somewhere after check-in.

The 64 × 64 cm panel can carry the whole queue. It alternately shows the licence plates of vehicles waiting in the car park and the dock they should pull into. Together with the Logistics module, this makes most calls to the dispatcher disappear.

Typical content

  • The licence plate of the vehicle that’s next
  • The number of the dock or holding area
  • Place in the queue
  • Countdown to the barrier lifting
  • Operational warnings and prohibitions
Mind the placement and brightness. A panel facing the afternoon sun is unreadable no matter how many nits it has. That's why we resolve placement and orientation during the site survey, not during installation — it's one of the few things that are hard to fix afterwards.
Frequently asked questions

What people ask most often

What are LED panels at the entrance for?

The driver learns what to do without getting out: where to go, which dock, why they’re waiting. The panel is connected to the control system, so it shows the real state — not a static sign.

Are the panels readable in sunlight?

Yes, the outdoor version has high brightness for direct sunlight, IP65 protection and automatic brightness control based on ambient light.

What can appear on the panel?

Text, dock numbers, a vehicle’s licence plate, arrows and pictograms — the system controls the content according to the situation. Full-colour matrix variants can show anything, and a traffic light adds an unambiguous go/stop instruction.
